Tour Plan

Dublin Castle

is one of the many historic buildings in the capital city, as well as the most famous of the castles in Dublin. The Dublin Castle history, like many Irish histories, involves both the Vikings and the British. Located south of the River Liffey, Dublin Castle was built on the site of the first Viking fortress and became the seat of British rule in Ireland.

National Museum of Ireland

is Ireland’s premier cultural institution with the finest of Ireland’s art, material culture and natural history.

Trinity College

is one of the oldest centers of learning, dating back to the 16th century.

Guinness Brewery

No trip to Dublin (or even Ireland) would be complete without a trip to the famed Guinness Brewery. For many beer enthusiasts, a visit to the brewery is almost a pilgrimage of sorts. The national Irish drink is a Guinness stout, a dark brew made with roasted malt. The Guinness Storehouse, the brewery’s new museum, pays homage to Ireland’s national beer, with a museum of beer-making, a gallery of clever ads, and the spectacular Gravity Bar.

Old Jameson Distillery

Nestling in the heart of old Dublin lays the Old Jameson Distillery on the site of the original Jameson Distillery, with origins dating back to 1870. Today as a visitor centre the OJD introduces visitors to the taste and history of John Jameson’s Irish whiskey.

Dublinia

One of the most popular visits in the city, the exhibition portrays life in medieval Dublin from the coming of the Anglo-Normans in 1170 to the closure of the monasteries and the Reformation circa 1540.

Phoenix Park

The Largest enclosed park in Europe and home to the Dublin Zoo. It is full of beautiful grassland, lakes, ornamental gardens and wooded areas. It is home to an abundance of wildlife and also contains many historical sites and monuments. Within its demesnes lives the President of Ireland.

Temple Bar Area

A historical and eclectic area filled with art, theatre, music, pubs, cafes, and the highest concentration of restaurants.

St. Patrick Cathedral

is a cathedral in Dublin.

"We had a fabulous tour with Jimmy! He is so knowledgeable, and willing to customise your tour. I had an interest in some family ancestor sites, and he was able to include them. My husband wanted some hiking, so that was included, too.

Jimmy was able to tell us details about every place we toured, and also about places we didn't see. He knows Ireland!"

"What an amazing day we had and all thanks to Jimmy Mulrooney! It was a first visit for all of us and the decision to take a private tour to introduce us to the Dublin area was spot on!

Jimmy has an endless knowledge of the historical monuments and buildings surrounding the city center as well as the greater Dublin area and it’s environs, using his background in history and political science to really provide that special something extra everyone seems to be searching for that makes a trip worthwhile. looking forward to booking a different trip on our return!"
