Tour Plan

The Magic of Moher

Starting out early morning from your hotel we travel across the country to visit the majestic Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare. These cliffs are some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe and attract a huge amount of visitors every year.

The first stop on this tour is the Rock of Cashel in Co. Tipperary. This spectacular medieval site sits high above the town of Cashel and played an important part in Irelands rich cultural history and heritage.

After leaving Cashel we travel towards the city of Limerick before arriving at the Cliffs of Moher. Here you will be free to explore at your own pace. No time restrictions!

Upon leaving the cliffs we driver a short distance to the lovely coastal village of Doolin where you can enjoy a pint and lovely seafood in one of the great pubs.

When you have had your fill we head back to Dublin, taking in the breathtaking scenery of the world famous Burren Landscape.

Our friends in the North

This tour takes us from Dublin to Belfast and the Giants Causeway.

Our first stop on this tour is Belfast City, the capital city of Northern Ireland. You will be told of the political history of this wonderful city and see its famous ” Wall Murals ” telling the story of its troubled past.

We also visit the newly opened Titanic Exibition. The famous ship was built here in Belfast and the museum is a must for visitors to the city.

We then leave Belfast and head for the North Antrim coast. We drive through some of Ireland most beautiful scenery before arriving at the Giants Causeway. The causeway is made up of about 40000 Basalt columns from land to sea , caused by an ancient volcanic eruption. Hear the legend of Finn McCool and the Scottish Giant.

Your trip concludes with a stop at Bushmills Inn where you can enjoy a delicious dinner before settling back and relaxing on the return drive to Dublin.

Killkenny and Waterford

On this tour you will be visiting the area known as the Sunny South East because traditionally it gets more sunny days than the rest of the country!

Our first stop on this tour is the Medieval City of Killkenny with its narrow winding streeets. You will visit Killkenny Castle, orginally constructed in 1195 by William Marshal, the 1st Earl of Pembrok.

You will aslo visit St. Conices Cathedral which stands on a site dating back to the 6th Century. For those guests not of faint heart you can climb to the top of the round tower, where you can enjoy great views of the city.

We will then say goodbye to Killkenny and travel to Waterford on the South East Coast. We will visit New Ross, with its famous Tall Ship – Dunbrody. This is a museum and tour telling the story of the Irish Famine. The Dunbrody was a ship that carried Irish people from poverty and illness to a life of hope and opportunity in the U.S. in the 1840s.

We then visit Waterford City, once famous for the world renowned Waterford Crystal. You can take a tour of the House of Waterford Crystal factory watching the skilled craftsmen at work.

You can also browse the fabulous retail store displaying some exquisite pieces from the Waterford collection.

We then visit Dunmore East, a charming seaside village in Waterfors where you can enjoy some good Irish hospitality in one of its lovely pubs or restaurants, before returning to your hotel.

"We had a fabulous tour with Jimmy! He is so knowledgeable, and willing to customise your tour. I had an interest in some family ancestor sites, and he was able to include them. My husband wanted some hiking, so that was included, too.

Jimmy was able to tell us details about every place we toured, and also about places we didn't see. He knows Ireland!"

"What an amazing day we had and all thanks to Jimmy Mulrooney! It was a first visit for all of us and the decision to take a private tour to introduce us to the Dublin area was spot on!

Jimmy has an endless knowledge of the historical monuments and buildings surrounding the city center as well as the greater Dublin area and it’s environs, using his background in history and political science to really provide that special something extra everyone seems to be searching for that makes a trip worthwhile. looking forward to booking a different trip on our return!"
